Kitana is the Edenian princess of Mortal Kombat, a royal warrior thousands of years old who fights with a pair of razor-edged steel fans. Her blue ninja outfit has been reworked in nearly every game since 1993, which gives cosplayers more official versions to choose from than almost any other fighting-game character.
Where to Find NSFW Kitana Cosplay
Kitana has decades of cosplay behind her, so supply is deep and spans every era of the series. Mortal Kombat 1 put her back in front of players, and her builds now range from simple retro ninja costumes to fully armored modern designs.

The Kitana Looks Cosplayers Actually Build
Each game redesigned her, so Kitana cosplay splits by era.
- Classic ninja look. The blue outfit from the early games, with the face mask, headband and fans. Simple, nostalgic and still widely built.
- Modern armored designs. The more detailed outfits from Mortal Kombat 9, 11 and 1, with layered armor, a tiara or crown and a lot more construction. A sign of a serious cosplayer.
- Kahn Kitana. Her ruling-empress look from Mortal Kombat 11, with a regal headdress and cape. Rare and striking.
- Mask and fans build. The blue mask, the fans and a minimal blue outfit. The dominant NSFW version, because the mask and fans alone identify her.
- Twin build with Mileena. Kitana in blue alongside a partner as Mileena in magenta. Popular with creator duos and a long-running fan favorite.
Why Kitana Is Such a Popular Cosplay
Kitana is royalty first and fighter second, and that combination of elegance and violence is what cosplayers want to play. She is also one of the longest-running women in games still getting new designs, so she pulls in fans who grew up with the arcade cabinets and fans who met her in the latest game.
The fans are a big part of her appeal. Few characters have a weapon so tied to their identity, and a pair of open steel fans with a blue costume makes for great photos and a strong opening pose on cam. The mask adds a bit of mystery that suits slow-reveal shows.
How to Search for Kitana Cosplay
Kitana is a distinctive name, so short searches work, but these return better cosplay results:

A general mortal kombat cosplay search also returns Mileena, Jade and Sonya, which is useful if you like the whole roster.
What to Look For in a Good Kitana Cosplay
The fans are the tell. Kitana’s fans are steel war fans with bladed edges, held open, and a cheap paper or folding fan is the most common shortcut in the whole costume. Creators who build or buy proper metal-look fans are usually the ones who put real work into the rest.
Next, check the blue. Her signature color is a bright royal blue, not navy and not turquoise – turquoise is Jade’s territory. Then look at the mask: it should cover the lower face cleanly and match the outfit. Finally, the era should be consistent. Mixing a retro ninja top with modern armor pieces gives away an assembled costume rather than a planned build.
