Bandai’s STRICT-G fashion line has launched a new category, STRICT-G RUNWAY, built around what Gundam characters would wear on their days off. The first collection, 2026AW, features the four Gundam SEED FREEDOM leads – Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala, Lacus Clyne and Cagalli Yula Athha – in newly drawn official illustrations wearing the pieces.
What is in the collection
Instead of printed merch, the line is built with real fashion partners: recycled-down outerwear from nishikawa, E404 jeans from EDWIN and leather sneakers from SPINGLE, plus boa and reversible fleece jackets, tees, bags and scarves. Prices (tax included) run from 4,400 yen for a tote or scarf up to 39,600 yen for the Kira or Athrun down parka.
Release dates
- Pre-orders on Premium Bandai’s STRICT-G Online Store: 30 October, 13:00 JST.
- STRICT-G stores and a HiKESHi SPiRiT pop-up in Asakusa: from 31 October (the pop-up runs to 30 November).
- Down outerwear, boa and fleece jackets: 14 November.
Why cosplayers should care
“Casual” or “day-off” versions of characters are a growing cosplay niche, and an official lookbook gives you canon-approved off-duty outfits for all four SEED leads – an easy group concept that needs no armor, only wigs and the clothes.
